- Figure S1. Hematocrits after Phenylhydrazine treatment of wild-type and STAT1-/- mice. (PDF, 28 KB) -
(A) Hematocrits (L/L) of wild-type (filled-in box) and STAT1-/- (clear box) mice during recovery from anemia induced by Phenylhydrazine (2 consecutive injections as indicated by the arrows). The day of the first Phenylhydrazine injection was considered to be day 1. The results are presented as the mean ± standard error of the values observed in 6 wild-type and 6 STAT1-/- mice (8 weeks of age). (B) Reticulocytes were monitored by staining freshly drawn blood with New Methylene Blue. The reticulocyte index was calculated assuming a normal hematocrit of 45%. Reticulocyte Index (%) = Reticulocyte count (%) × (hematocrit/45).
