CLEVER-1 mediates lymphocyte transmigration through vascular and lymphatic endothelium
Blood Salmi et al. 104: 3849

Supplemental materials for: Salmi et al, Vol 104, Issue 13, 3849-3857

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Video 1. Rolling, firm adhesion and transmigration of PBMC (AVI, 3.46 KB) - were drawn at a constant shear (1.0 dyn/cm2) on a confluent monolayer of HUVEC, and the whole experiment was recorded using phase optics (see "Materials and methods" for details). Rolling PBMC move slowly into the direction of flow (from top to bottom). Firmly adherent cells remain stably bound to HUVEC and phase-bright. A representative transmigrating cell is indicated by the arrow, and it becomes phase-dark when it has completed the transmigratory process. Non-interacting cells can be seen as rapidly moving blurred PBMC images. The video shows a 3 minute, 30 second period of an experiment at a 20x speed. Bar, 20 µm.
