Promoter hypermethylation of cancer-related genes: a strong independent prognostic factor in acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Blood Roman-Gomez et al. 104: 2492

Retraction

Roman-Gomez J, Jimenez-Velasco A, Castillejo JA, Agirre X, Barrios M, Navarro G, Molina FJ, Calasanz MJ, Prosper F, Heiniger A, Torres A. Promoter hypermethylation of cancer-related genes: a strong independent prognostic factor in acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Blood. 2004;104:2492–2498.
Prepublished online as a Blood First Edition Paper on June 15, 2004; DOI 10.1182/blood-2004-03-0954.

The authors retract the Oct. 15, 2004, paper cited above. Fig. 1 in that article was inappropriately reproduced from a previously published paper, namely Dong SM, Kim HS, Rha SH, Sidransky D. Promoter hypermethylation of multiple genes in carcinoma of the uterine cervix. Clin Cancer Res. 2001;7:1982–1986. The authors deeply apologize to the authors of that paper and to the scientific community.
