Spleen cells isolated from mice at 8 days (Day 8) or 145 days (Immune) after LCMV infection were activated directly ex vivo with either peptide alone or the combination of peptide plus IL-12 and IL-18. BFA was added for the final hour of stimulation, and cytokine production by CD8+ T cells was detected by intracellular staining. Each cytokine was analyzed at the peak time of production. (A) IFN
