BCL-6 negatively regulates macrophage proliferation by suppressing autocrine IL-6 production Files in this Data Supplement: Colony assays were performed as described in "Materials and methods." Three representative fields (10× magnification) per genotype were chosen for each type of colony assay. Similar results were obtained from 6 independent experiments. In vitro–differentiated wild-type macrophages were grown in the presence of increasing amounts of recombinant IL-6. Proliferation response of the cells was measured by 3H-thymidine incorporation assay. Error bars indicate standard deviation. The results are representative of 2 independent experiments.
