- Table S1. Gene expression in blood mutants (XLS, 267 KB)
-
For each of the 387 genes differentially regulated between clo and WT siblings, rank number in the clustergram, Affymetrix probe set ID, gene name, gene symbol, and representative public ID are provided. Clusters of early hematopoietic and vascular genes, of the erythroid, myeloid, vascular lineages, or of genes upregulated in clo and sclmo at 36 hpf, are highlighted in green, pink, orange, blue, and yellow, respectively (color scheme corresponds to Figure 1). In situ expression results are listed with their respective references of publication. Genes with confirmed expression in blood or blood vessel by in situ hybridization are highlighted in bold red. Detected novel hematopoietic and vascular genes and their confirmation by in situ hybridization are additionally marked in respective columns. Fold changes for each of the 10 tested pairs (mutant/WT or morphant/uninjected) and their respective q values are provided.
- Figure S1. Expression of dusp5 in WT and sclmo (JPG, 71 KB)
-

(A-C) WT embryos at 36 hpf express dusp5 throughout the entire vasculature, including intracranial (B) and intersomitic vessels (C). In contrast, although present, vascular expression in sclmo embryos at 36 hpf is markedly reduced in comparison to WT, in particular in irregularly formed intracranial (B) and intersomitic vessels (C).
- Figure S2. Expression of sc4mol in WT and clom39 (JPG, 69 KB)
-

(A-C) Expression of sc4mol at 36 hpf. WT embryos express sc4mol in the eye (lens), around the otic placode and in epidermal cells on the forehead, whereas in clom39 at 36 hpf, transcripts are abundant in the eye, in the brain, and in epidermal cells of the head and around the tail fin.
