Analysis of thrombocyte development in CD41-GFP transgenic zebrafish
Blood Lin et al. 106: 3803

Supplemental materials for: Lin et al

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Video 1 (MOV, 6.23 MB) - A three dimensional reconstruction of a series of confocal photomicrographs taken of LMO2-DsRed/CD41-GFP 48 hour old embryos is depicted. In these fish the blood vessels are orange/red and the thrombocytes yellow/green. The orientation of the fish in this panel is horizontal with the anterior aspect of the fish to the right. The dorsal aorta is superior with with inter-somitic vessels branching off vertically and to the left. The cardinal vein is not well visualized in this reconstruction but can be seen in Video 2 below. Upon rotation of the reconstruction it becomes quite clear that the thrombocytes are extra-vascular and are resident in a region immediately inferior to the dorsal aorta.
  • Video 2 (MOV, 6.23 MB) - A three dimensional reconstruction of a series of confocal photomicrographs taken of LMO2-DsRed/CD41-GFP 48 hour old embryos is depicted. In these fish the blood vessels are orange/red and the thrombocytes yellow/green. The orientation of the fish is vertical with rostral aspect of the fish superior. Prior to rotation the cardinal vein is on the left and the dorsal aorta on the right with inter-somitic vessels branching off horizontally to the right. Upon rotation of the reconstruction it becomes quite clear that the thrombocytes are extra-vascular and are resident in the space between the cardinal vein and the dorsal aorta.
