SHPS-1 promotes the survival of circulating erythrocytes through inhibition of phagocytosis by splenic macrophages Files in this Data Supplement: Lysates of splenocytes derived from WT or homozygous SHPS-1 mutant (KO) mice were subjected to immunoblot analysis with a mAb to the extracellular region of SHPS-1 (P82) or with pAbs to the cytoplasmic region of SHPS-1 (anti–SHPS-1), as indicated. The positions of WT and mutant (SHPS-1-Δcyto) forms of SHPS-1 as well of molecular size standards (in kilodaltons) are indicated. Peripheral blood from WT or homozygous SHPS-1 mutant mice (KO) at 6 wk of age was smeared and stained with Wright-Giemsa solution. Data are representative of three independent experiments. Scale bar, 10 µm.
