(A) PF4 (4 µM) was preincubated for 30 minutes at 37°C in the presence or absence of increasing concentrations of sCSA prior to cell stimulation. Neutrophil adhesion to endothelial cells was determined as described in the legend to Figure 1. Data represent mean ± SD of 3 independent experiments, each performed in duplicate. (B) PF4 (4µM) was preincubated for 30 minutes at 37°C in the presence or absence of sCSA (20 µg/mL) and subsequently neutrophils were stimulated for 5 minutes at 37°C or left unstimulated. Activation of Syk, Rac2, and JNK was determined as described in the legends to Figures 2, 3, and 5, respectively. The data from one representative experiment out of 3 are given.
