Mesenchymal stem cells display coordinated rolling and adhesion behavior on endothelial cells
Blood Rüster et al. 108: 3938

Supplemental materials for: Rüster et al, Vol 108, Issue 12, 3938-3944

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Video S1. MSCs roll and adhere to HUVECs (WMV, 1 MB) -
MSCs (106, passage 6) were passed over a parallel plate flow chamber at a calculated shear stress of 0.1 dynes/cm2. HUVECs were precoated and were stimulated with TNF- (10 ng/mL) 4 hours prior to the experiment. Both the first clip (real time) and the following clip (half-speed) show cells that do not interact with ECs (fast, not in focus due to their high velocity), cells rolling over ECs that rapidly extend podia, and adherent cells displaying stationary podia.
