Effect of von Willebrand factor Y/C1584 on in vivo protein level and function and interaction with ABO blood group
Blood Davies et al. 109: 2840

Supplemental materials for: Davies et al, Blood, Vol. 109, Issue 7, 2840-2846

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Figure S1. Von Willebrand factor proteolysis and phenotype at amino acid residue 1584 (JPG, 38.5 KB) -
Six samples of phenotype Y/Y1584 and 6 samples of phenotype Y/C1584 (all group O) were subjected to proteolysis. Multimer profiles were visualized at 0 hours and at 2 hours. A greater degree of proteolysis was obtained for Y/C VWF, indicated by a greater loss in high-molecular-weight multimers, than for Y/Y VWF. ADAMTS13-mediated proteolysis was indicated by an increase in triplet bands, the absence of smearing, and the absence of spurious bands.
