Blood Withers et al. 109: 4856

Supplemental materials for: Withers et al, Vol 109, Issue 11, 4856-4864

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Figure S1. Tonsillar plasma cells express both CD138 and CD27 (PDF, 2.74 MB) -
Immunofluorescence microscopy was used to confirm that tonsillar PCs coexpress both CD138 and CD27. (A) Expression of human CD138 (red), and light chain (blue), and rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER, green). Scale bar represents 200 µm and 50 µm in the far-right panel (enlarged view of marked area); GC marks germinal center. (B) Expression of human CD138 (green), CD27 (red), and CD3 (blue). Scale bar represents 50 µm. Staining is representative of 5 tonsil samples.

  • Figure S2. Effects of anti-CD154 treatment on xenochimeric mice (PDF, 72.3 KB) -
Xenochimeric mice were either untreated or treated with anti-CD154, and levels of hIgG in the circulation of the host mice were assessed by ELISA. Mean levels of hIgG shown over a 4-week grafting period. Error bars represent SEM for treatment groups. Results of 3 independent experiments are shown.
