- Table S1. Oligonucleotides for HRE enhancer constructs (PDF, 14.7 KB). -
NheI and XhoI half-sites are underlined.
- Table S2. Sequences of allele-specific microsatellites and a common regulatory SNP used in interchange reactions by site-directed mutagenesis (PDF, 48.1 KB). -
Note that due to differences in transcription start site assignment, the regulatory SNP-209T in this study is the same as SNP-237T.1,2 This SNP was mutated to the more common -209C. Microsatellite sequences for alleles 1, 2, 6, and 7 as well as the mutant microsatellite (GT)22 were used for interchange reactions using allele 3 (SLC11A1-luc) as template.
- Table S3. Allele-specific duplex microsatellites used for mobility shift assays (PDF, 19.8 KB). -
Complementary phosphorylated oligonucleotides were synthesized (MWG Biotech). Mutant microsatellite oligonucleotide (GT)22 was generated by mutating the AC dinucleotides in the two HREs to GT.
