TREM-1 ligand expression on platelets enhances neutrophil activation
Blood Haselmayer et al. 110: 1029

Supplemental materials for: Haselmayer et al, vol. 110, Issue 3, 1029-1035

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Figure S1. Platelet-mediated enhancement of the LPS-induced respiratory burst is not restricted to PMN in direct contact with platelets (JPG, 109 KB) -
DCFH-DA-labelled PMN were incubated with or without PKH26- (red fluorescent) labelled platelets (PLT/PMN ratio 30/1) in the presence or absence of LPS (100 ng/mL). At the indicated time points, the cells were fixed with 2% paraformaldehyde and subsequently analyzed by flow cytometry for green fluorescent DCF and red fluorescent platelets gated on PMN as defined by light scattergram. (A) Representative dot plots are depicted after 60 minutes of (co-)incubation. (B) Quantitative analysis of mean (±SD) respiratory burst activity of PMN activated with the indicated stimuli is shown. The experiments were performed in triplicates and are representative of three independent experiments with different healthy donors.
