Neuropilin-1 and neuropilin-2 act as coreceptors, potentiating proangiogenic activity
Blood Sulpice et al. 111: 2036

Supplemental material for: Sulpice et al

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Figure S1. NRP1 knockdown decreases the activity of HGF and VEGF-A165 in stimulating Akt and p38 kinases (PDF, 138 KB) -
HUVEC were transiently transfected with NRP1 or a control siRNA-C, deprived of serum, and incubated with or without HGF (2 or 10 ng/ml) or VEGF-A165 (10 ng/ml) for 10 min. (A) Cell lysates were analyzed by western blotting with anti-phospho-p38 and (B) anti-phospho-Akt antibody (left). Bands were quantified by scanning densitometry and results were normalized according to total p38 or Akt content, respectively (right). Data are expressed as a percentage of the maximal phosphorylation obtained in HUVEC transfected with control siRNA and stimulated with HGF. Values are means ± SD of three independent experiments. * – p < 0.05 (Student's t-test).
