ELISA confirmation of the relative increase in PF-4 in platelets of mice bearing human liposarcoma xenograts (JPG, 102 KB) - One million of liposarcoma cells were injected subcutaneously into the flanks of SCID mice, and platelets were harvested 30 days later. The PF-4 protein was assayed using ELISA for murine PF-4. Murine PF4 was elevated in mice bearing angiogenic and non-angiogenic xenografts of human liposarcoma. This suggests that the PF-4 was host-derived, rather than tumor-derived. The bars represent an average of 4-5 mice +/− SEM. Student t-test was used to compare means of the groups. Figure S2. MS/MS spectra of tryptic fragments (JPG, 49.1 KB) - The 8206 Da candidate protein was gel purified and digested with trypsin. Ions with m/z of 1350.75 (Peptide I) and 1677.90 (Peptide II) were fragmented by collision induced dissociation (CID) and amino acid sequences obtained.
