The role of Akt in the signaling pathway of the glycoprotein Ib-IX–induced platelet activation
Blood Yin et al. 111: 658

Supplemental material for: Yin et al

Files in this Data Supplement:

  • Figure S1. The effects of Akt1 knockout and Akt2 knockout on static platelet adhesion to immobilized VWF (PDF, 39.8 KB). -
Wild type, Akt-1 knockout or Akt-2 knockout mice platelets were added to VWF-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 1 hour in the presence of 1 µ g/ml botrocetin. After washing with PBS, adherent platelets in the microtiter wells were quantitated by an acid phosphatase reaction as described previously (37). Percentage of adherent platelets was calculated with the formula: (Adherent platelets (OD405) - Blank) / (Total platelets (OD405) - Blank) × 100. Results are expressed as the average percentage of adherent platelets ± SD.
