    Dapi staining is used to show the nuclei (A and E); GFP immunostaining shows cells that originated from the bone marrow of the donor GFP+ mice (B and F) and the red immunostaining using an antibody to BRDU indicates proliferating nuclei (C and G). D and H are overlays of the three colors. Arrows point to two GFP immunopositive endothelial cells lining the capillary wall that also have BRDU immunopositive (red) nuclei, suggesting that these cells originated from transplanted bone marrow cells and proliferated in vivo. E–H is a higher magnification of the boxed area in A–D. Asterisks indicate vascular lumen. Traditional fluorescent microscopy using a LEICA DMI 6000 microscope.
