The 2,612 differentially expressed genes associated with CML progression were mapped onto a merged network of genes surrounding 4 of the 6 signature genes including IGSF2, LTB4R, SCARB1, and SLC25A3. Resulting hubs in these analyses with differential gene expression included NFKB, heat shock proteins, CEBPA, CEBPB, MYB, and MAPK members. The red nodes represent genes with differentially increased expression while the green nodes represent genes with differentially decreased expression with CML progression to blast crisis. The intensity of the color indicates statistical significance with more intense colors indicating more significant p-values. These observations suggest that because BMA identifies markers that work in combination, biological relationships may exist between these candidates.
