There has been considerable interest, in the recent literature, in ocular adnexal lymphomas and their biological and clinical characteristics with a possible association with Chlamydia psittaci infection, and in their therapeutic management with rituximab or anti-Chlamydia psittaci antibiotic therapy. These new data have modified the previously reported features of this disease and therefore require an updated review of the literature. The aims of this review are to present the current knowledge on the biology of these lymphomas, their clinical features and prognostic factors, and finally the panel of all available treatment options.
