Shown here are platelets from cPLA2α+/+ (top panel) and cPLA2α-/- (bottom panel) mice after plating on fibrinogen in the presence of a GP VI agonist, collagen-related peptide. Platelets were stained with an anti-phosphotyrosine antibody (green) and rhodamine-phalloidin (F-actin, red). Note the reduced spreading of cPLA2α platelets.
